Nitinol shape memory sheets and plates are composed primarily of approximately 55% nickel and 45% titanium, with trace elements such as cobalt or copper sometimes added to enhance properties. These sheets exhibit unique phase transformation behavior between martensite and austenite structures that enables shape memory and superelastic effects, with Af (austenite finish) temperatures customizable between -10°C and 120°C. Mechanical properties include tensile strength around 980 MPa, elongation around 20%, excellent fatigue resistance, and exceptional corrosion resistance. Sheet thickness ranges typically from 0.3 mm to 6 mm, with widths and lengths customizable according to industrial requirements.
